Susie Watson Designs is a unique and fast-growing small company. All our products are designed in house and we work closely with the artisans who make them for us. We design beautiful handmade products for the home with a stunning range of fabrics, furniture, wallpapers, paints, pottery and accessories. We currently have eleven beautiful retail showrooms from Harrogate down to Salcombe.

Social Media Manager and PR Assistant - Marlborough

We are looking for someone to join our Marketing team to drive strategy and growth on our social media platforms and assist our PR Manager with press enquiries. This role will be suited to someone organised, with creative ideas, and a journalistic mind.   

Social Media Manager

- Develop and implement social media strategies, to increase audience size, engagement and brand awareness.
- Develop creative ideas for engaging and inspiring posts, including content from stores, design team, and our overseas colleagues.
- Draft the social media calendar and align with our Marketing calendar.
- Co-ordinate the posting and scheduling of content across social media platforms.
- Build relationships with relevant influencers to promote the brand and expand its reach.
- Co-ordinate brand partnerships with like-minded brands.
- Analyse campaign performance –monitoring effectiveness, trends and providing actionable insights.
- Engage with customers and followers.

 PR Assistant

- Support our PR Manager to respond to all press enquiries. 
- Distributing high resolution lifestyle/product imagery and credits/copy for features and product placement.
- Draft seasonal press releases for national/regional publications, promoting new product and key seasonal messages.
- Forward features – creating a spreadsheet in line with editorial calendar, contacting relevant journalist and finding out synopsis to then send appropriate copy, credits and imagery.
- PR Tracker Spreadsheet – updating press release log, enquiries, appeared features, press contacts.
- Liaise with our advertising team on future ads being placed and making sure editorial is included. 
- Setting ad campaign with Marketing team and issue schedule/specs to design team.
- Press loans – ordering product via NetSuite/ liaising with our warehouse.
- Providing support for store and national events.

Skills/Experience Required

- Experience of building a social media account.
- Creative thinking to create innovative posts that align with our brand.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with audiences and collaborate with teams.
- Organisational and skilled in managing multiple tasks, projects and deadlines effectively.
- Strong copywriting and editing skills. Effective story telling techniques.
- An eye for detail and interest in Interior Design.
